Less leakage January 1st 2005
Fugitive emissions from hard working control valves can be cut to well below 50ppm, says James Walker, using the company’s Supagraf Control gland packing.
The packing is said to seal efficiently for more than 100 000 stem strokes without gland re-adjustment and its very low coefficient of friction enhances accurate valve movement.
Andrew Goulding, packings expert, confirms the leak tightness claim A five-ring set of Supagraf Control showed maximum emission levels of 10 to 15ppm without gland retightening after 1100 stem strokes with five thermal cycles from ambient to 160°C. More articles from James Walker SPS Ltd: |
