MACH spreads its wings for 2006
January 1st 2005

The MACH 2006 event recently received its formal launch with the news that the event is to widen its exhibitor base from its traditional machine tool base to include a variety of companies from other related fields. IP&E, an official media partner of the exhibition attended the launch of the 2006 event that will run from 15-19 May at Birmingham’s N.E.C.

MACH has been running since 1912 (when the event lasted over three weeks!) and is the largest and most successful exhibition for producers of machine tools and manufacturing technologies. It attracts around 500 exhibitors and is owned and organised by the MTA (Manufacturing Technologies Association). MACH is designed to promote the interests of the UK manufacturing technologies sector.

Despite running a successful event in 2004 the MTA has not rested on its laurels but has rather looked to improve on the event for 2006 with several new initiatives.

First among these is the introduction of MACHplus whereby exhibitors from a wide variety of related fields, such as automation, cleaning, environment/ waste management, financial services, fluid power, health and safety, materials handling, metalworking and property services will be participating making the event broader in its content.

Also new is MACHconsult that hopes to bring a range of industry experts face-to-face with visitors, sharing information and advice.

A visit to MACH 2006 not only gives you access to the exhibitors at this event but the event is colocated with WELDEX 2006 –the UK’s only welding, joining, cutting and fabrication exhibition and SUBCON 2006 – the subcontracting manufacturing show.

If you have any interest in finding out about exhibiting at MACH 2006 then please contact Roger Kaye on the telephone number below.
