The new OR52 oil and turbidity detector from Flowserve Gestra is the latest addition to a range of monitoring devices that make use of the company’s digital technology.

Designed to detect minute traces of contaminants, such as oils, greases and emulsions in water and condensate systems, the device can be seamlessley integrated with a wide range of flow and level control devices to create a comprehensive plant monitoring package.

The OR52 comprises measuring sensor with cast iron or stainless steel body and a remote detector unit with touch controls and digital display that provides a continuous indication of actual values and limit values that can be set within the range of 0 to 25ppm.

With high switchpoint accuracy and self-diagnostic capabilities to screen out internal malfunctions and corrupted data, the detector can rapidly identify the presence of contamination and trigger audible alarms with variable relay time delays. When integrated with plant monitoring and control systems, contamination can be isolated.
