 REDUCES RISK
May 1st 2005

Tom Parker has added the CEJN Series 410 vented safety coupling to its portfolio. The coupling is designed to cope with high flow rates. Sudden component separation is a danger when disconnecting couplings in such situations. The 410 connects in two stages so that the coupling is vented and the risk of sudden component separation minimised.

There is a few seconds delay when the operator pulls the coupling and nipple apart, during which parts are held together by latches. This is a crucial pause that ensures the pressure has time to drop before coupling and nipple are actually separated, thus reducing the risk of injury both to operators and those around them.

Once air pressure in the coupling has dropped, coupling and nipple automatically disconnect.

The series 420 has a working capacity to 3700L/min.
