SCA OVERHAULS WIPERS

An overhaul of the Tork Industrial wiper range from SCA Tissue Europe is taking place this spring.

All products are being given new names and major improvements are being made to existing nonwoven wipers.

The manufacturing method for Tork Premium products uses longer fibres and polymer resin in a spun-laid process. The ‘Endless Fibre Technology’ creates wipers that are said to have a greatly improved performance. The company says that tests have shown the wet strength of Tork Premium wipers to be significantly higher than wipers made using other methods.

The wipers are also said to be 75% lower linting and twice as durable when used with solvents or detergents than wipers made using traditional techniques.

Tork Premium wipers replace the company’s previous non-woven range and the Tork Premium name forms part of a new branding structure.
