SECOND MAJOR ACQUISITION

British Turntable has acquired the business assets of Cawley Marine Industrial and with it the rights to distribute Jung lifting and moving equipment in the UK.

This is the second major acquisition for the company in just over a year. In April 2004 it bought the assets of Hovair Systems, supplier of air film movement equipment.

Air film technology is widely used in industry to provide materials handling solutions as an alternative to mechanical movement. By forming a film of air between the load and the floor, the air cushion or bearings allow heavy loads to be moved easily and accurately, whether linear or multidirectional movement is required.
