 Small alarm
September 1st 2004

Certified ATEX intrinsically safe, Shawcity’s ToxiRAE II gas monitor is small enough to be hidden behind a credit card and weighs just 83g.

It continuously measures and displays gas levels. As soon as a high level occurs, the three-way alarms - audible, vibrating and flashing light - alert the wearer to take action.

There are readings and alarms for high levels, 15min STEL, and 8h TWA. Alarm levels may be changed by the user. It is supplied with alligator clip, metal ring, belt clip, hard-hat clip and wrist strap.

One-button operation enables the user simply to switch on to display the gas level, then press again to indicate peak and average readings. By pressing and holding the button the user can calibrate the monitor and reprogramme alarms.

Sensors and battery will last a minimum of two years and can be replaced in the field by the user.
