WYKO becomes nationwide WEG distributor
September 20th 2005 WYKO is now a national UK distributor and authorised repairer for WEG’s entire product range.
WYKO says the agreement means it can offer “what others can’t: supply and service on a nationwide basis”, according to commercial director for industrial services, Alan Whetstone. WEG national sales and marketing manager, Marek Lukaszczyk, says it enables the company to support its “extraordinary growth” while improving levels of customer supply, support and service.
WYKO now holds a stock of over £100,000 worth of WEG LV motor at its West Midlands site, encompassing a wide range of motor sizes, including some of the largest available in the UK. The company claims it can therefore satisfy most standard delivery requests in 24 to 48 hours, with same day service for emergency situations. For larger and some non-stock items, WYKO will utilise the £2million motor stock at WEG’s Redditch facility – less than 10 miles from WYKO’s store.
WEG motors offered by WYKO include high efficiency, explosion-proof and brake motors, in tandem with motor starters and LV switchgear. The companies say motors and drives are mostly sold as packages. These will come with 3 year warranties, giving greater security of purchase and a single (usually local) point of contact for equipment supplied, according to WYKO.
