Low cost energy data logger with Bluetooth
April 27th 2006 Elcomponent has utilised two decades of data logger design and manufacturing know-how to hone its latest product. The company says the SPCmini and its dedicated PC software package ‘PowerPackPro’ combine new technology and years of experience into an unbeatable low-cost package.
According to Elcomponent, the SPCmini bears all the hallmarks of 21st century design including large clear display and massive ‘Flash’ memory – enough for 1 minute logging for over a month. Set-up and data download is via an integrated Bluetooth communication chip, removing the hassle of connecting cables. The SPCmini is also extremely versatile and will provide accurate results on loads as small as 1 amp, right up to a maximum of 600 amps. The logging interval is fully adjustable from 1 second to 30 minutes, and the unit has a battery life of up to 6 months.
The new ‘PowerPackPro’ PC software package has been developed specifically for the SPCmini. Based on Elcomponent’s MeterRing MM aM&T package it combines ease-of-use with powerful features for effective energy management.
