No butts with Empteezy July 27th 2006 The Prince’s Trust helps young people to overcome barriers and get their lives back on track through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance. It helps 14-30 year-olds to realise their potential and transform their lives. There are more than one million young people not in education, employment or training1.
The Trust focuses its efforts on young people who struggle at school, are in or leaving care, long term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. Since the charity was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, it has helped over half a million young people.
“Team 15” of the Prince’s Trust based in Southend on Sea is trying to make a difference to the local community by renovating a patch of waste land outside the YMCA in Ambleside Drive, Southend and provide the residents, students, tutors, staff and visitors with a relaxing seating area.
Sarah-Louise Sharp a “Team 15” member commented: “Unfortunately there are lot of things we need but as we are on a very tight budget we have to rely on the generosity of companies like Empteezy, which has provided out-door ashtrays like the wall mounted one in the picture to help make sure the project can be completed.
