Better bearing lubrication can halve damage

Insufficient or incorrect lubrication is the principal cause in over 50% of cases of bearing damage and the cost of such damage, when measured in terms of machine downtime, lost production and unscheduled repairs, can run to many thousands of pounds.

To help bearing users avoid this potentially very costly problem occurring INA FAG (through FAG Industrial Services) has developed and introduced the Motion Guard CONCEPT 6 intelligent lubrication system that will provide an individual and precise supply of lubricant to each bearing location, exactly when it is needed.

It is available as a single- or multi-point system and can supply up to six different points with lubricant - constantly, precisely and independent of temperature. The system also provides each bearing location with the lubricant most suited to the application.

Suitable for use in extreme applications, indoors or outdoors, CONCEPT 6 is menu-guided to ensure simple, user-friendly operation. It available in two versions - the standard, battery-operated CONCEPT 6 and CONCEPT 6 CONTROL, a machine controlled system that communicates via a PLC.

Even greater machine safety is provided when CONCEPT 6 is combined with the Easy Check bearing monitoring system. The two systems are fully compatible and can be connected together directly to lubricating points.

Selection of the correct Arcanol rolling bearing lubrication grease for each application and determination of the ideal discharge period is made easier by the Motion Guard Select Manager program which is available from INA FAG on CD-Rom.
