Bearing heaters for longer plant life May 23rd 2006 To ensure maximum service life from roller bearings and steel parts, FAG has developed a range of heaters to ease mounting onto shafts and prevent harmful temperature differences through uniform heating.
The FAG PowerTherm range also eases mounting work, improves safety, avoids contamination during the heating of work pieces and cuts heating times by up to 50%.
These mobile desktop heaters and heater plates can be used to heat complete rolling bearings, rings of cylindrical roller or needle roller bearings and labyrinth rings, roll couplings and tyres.
Heater 10 is a mobile device used for heating small rolling bearings up to 10kg with a bore diameter of 10mm + and is ideal for maintenance in cars and in electrical machines.
Heater 20 is a desktop device for small bearings that weigh up to 20kg with a bore diameter of 10mm +.
Heater 35 is used for professional mounting work in maintenance workshops and in the production sector. This heater is suitable for parts of up to 35kg with a bore diameter of 15mm +.
Heater 150 is a fixed heating device which can be positioned vertically or horizontally. Parts of 150kg with a bore diameter of 20mm + can be heated.
Heater 300 is suitable for very heavy work pieces in a horizontal or vertical position. This model heats parts of up to 300kg with a bore diameter of 30mm +.
Extremely powerful fixed devices are also available for work pieces weighing 300 to 3000kg.
