Wipe out Weil’s disease with Mykal hand wipes May 23rd 2006 Mykal Heavy Duty Hand Cleaning Wipes (DSI 4000HDW) have undergone further microbiological laboratory tests that have proven the wipes to be effective against Weil’s Disease germs (Leptospira Interrogans) at much shorter contact times than previously tested.
The new tests showed that the wipes effectively killed off the Weil’s germs on contact times of 1 and 5 minutes, and no new germs were found to have re-grown following 6 weeks of incubation.
Weil’s Disease is a potentially fatal illness caused by contact with rat urine – a genuine hazard for utility contractors, public service workers and anyone regularly working in ditches, trenches, sewers, cellars or anywhere rats may be found.
Mykal Heavy Duty Hand Cleaning Wipes combine a dual textured wipe with a powerful hand cleansing solution. On one side a textured, abrasive quality allows for the efficient removal of oils, greases, adhesives, sealants and inks, while the other side is smooth and designed to absorb contamination.
The low lint, heavy duty nature of the wipes means that they will not tear or disintegrate, even in extreme use. Each wipe contains the optimum amount of cleaner that leaves hands clean, dry and moisturised.
The wipes are convenient and simple to use, ideal for service engineers and maintenance personnel in mobile or off site applications, as well as production lines and workshops.
