Stable dewpoint probes for air and plastic dryers March 19th 2007 Vaisala DRYCAP Dewpoint Transmitters, the DMT142 and DMT242, are designed for industrial applications like air and plastics dryers. Due to their small size and low-maintenance, dewpoint measurement can now be included in even the smallest dryers.
Both probes can be installed directly into pressurized systems. They respond fast and reliably over a wide dewpoint range. Long-term stability is ensured by the patented Vaisala auto-calibration feature. Because auto-calibration takes place during the measurement cycle there is no operator involvement, therefore maintenance and calibration costs are reduced.
The lasting high performance is achieved with Vaisala DRYCAP polymer sensor technology. The sensor fully withstands getting wet so the probes perform exceptionally well in applications where occasional water spikes saturate the sensor.
The housing provides protection against dust, dirt and splashed water. The Vaisala portable DM70 can also be used for field checking the DMT142 and DMT242.
