Custom electric motors - fast
September 18th 2007

Why compromise by using a motor that's nearly right or over-specced, says Baldor, when it will create the optimal solution?

Baldor will customise motors to meet your exact need, ranging from application-specific enclosures, conduit boxes, base and face mounts, to special windings, bearings and shafts. Or you may just want a custom paint job. Whatever your needs, Baldor says its 'flex flow' line will build it - fast!

Customisation possibilities include:

Enclosures choices include: Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled, Totally Enclosed, Non-Enclosed, Non-Ventilated, Totally Enclosed Air Over, Totally Enclosed Blower Cooled, Explosion Proof and Open Drip Proof. Stator housings are available in cast iron, stainless steel, steel and extruded aluminium. Weather Protected Type I and II also available.

Windings. Part winding, star, wye-delta, multi-speed and other special configurations, in 50 or 60 Hz. Special winding protection includes vacuum pressure impregnation, epoxy encapsulation, tropicalization and weatherproofing.

Bearings. Open, single shield, double shield or sealed bearings can be provided. Rolling element bearings (ball, roller, thrust or sleeve) also available. Thermocouples can be included.

Shafts. Just ask - Baldor has manufactured over 30,000 different configurations.
