Bearings that last and last (and last)
January 23rd 2008

Bearing failures can result in major maintenance and plant downtime costs. These costs can be excessive in plants processing aggressive materials.

Baldor's metric Dodge ISN bearing has a sealing system that provides 100% contact at 100% constant pressure, 100% of the time. Because it's factory lubricated, users don't have to do any grease packing or assembly.

Baldor says users are amazed at the performance. Consider this reaction from a maintenance engineer at a glass container plant:

"We’ve tried lots of bearings, but they have all been dismal failures, they only lasted about 3 months and when they failed they also destroyed the shaft. The Dodge bearings have been running for 18 months without fail. These bearings have been totally buried in soda ash and still continue to run.”

A patented adapter mount system and built-in puller slashes installation and removal times.

ISN is dimensionally interchangeable with the SN 500 standard (DIN 736/ISO 113-11) and available in 30-125mm bore sizes (507-528).
