Compact vibration sensors for plant protection

A new range of vibration sensors has been launched by Hansford Sensors for monitoring levels of vibration on important rotating machinery used in production and process industries. The HS-130 series of vibration sensors has been designed as a compact device, having a 50% smaller body diameter and weighing just 30g. These features make it ideal for use where space is limited or where the additional weight would alter the test characteristics.

This general purpose industrial accelerometer has a robust stainless steel construction and is sealed to IP65 allowing it to be used in difficult industrial conditions. The sensors are fitted with non-over braided, fire retardant, twin core screened cable. The sensors provide a 100mV/g signal using a top-entry cable arrangement.

Ideal in predictive maintenance roles when monitoring vibration levels on important plant such as fans, motors, gearboxes, and so on, the HS-130 Series is just one of many vibration sensors offered by Hansford Sensors to suit a variety of applications throughout the industries of paper, water & waste, metals, mining, oil and gas, utilities, building services and many more.

Ideal for use with these sensors, particularly on air handling units, is the new HS-BE series of sensor connection boxes which are easy-to-use units, sealed to IP55 and available for up to four channels of sensors, connected via the BNC connectors.
