Latest line in drives November 27th 2008 Parker-Origa has introduced a new generation of powerful electric linear drives that offer high levels of performance and application flexibility. The Origa Drive System (ODS) encompasses screw, belt and linear motor driven systems, providing users with speed, precision and load carrying capacity for any application. The design provides increased flexibility in terms of assembly and disassembly, high levels of ingress protection as standard, simple lubrication, and optional add-ons.
Much of the design focus for the ODS has been on increasing repeatability, accuracy force and speed across the range. As an example, the ballscrew driven ODS-SB version offers repeatability 2.5 times more precise than the previous generation, and provides action forces up to 66% higher.
A newly developed guide system has options for plain bearing guide, roller guide or recirculating ball bearing guide. The guide takes all the load to allow higher performance ratings over longer rail lengths.
The ODS comes in a basic profile version for supported lengths and as a reinforced profile version for unsupported lengths, allowing the profile to be used in free-standing applications without the need for additional profiles or specially made supports. A standard bore pattern simplifies mounting; tailored bore patterns can also be provided.
