Reduce generator emissions September 25th 2008 A-Plant and Genset have developed the Lo-Carbon Module, an energy saving systems for use in site accommodation and other temporary buildings which cuts CO2 emissions by up to 75%.
The Lo-Carbon module converts DC battery power into 230V AC electricity and is used in conjunction with a standard diesel generator, DC battery and the option of solar panels. It provides sufficient power to operate low wattage equipment such as laptop computers, power tools and mobile telephone chargers while the generator is not running. It is also suitable for running burglar and fire alarms. This stops the generator idling and as well as reducing emissions it can prevent damage due to fuel not burning efficiently in the engine.
