Air velocity and airflow measuring system in ducts May 28th 2010 KIMO's DEBIMO system, available from Nationwide Technical Products, is a new system to measure air velocity and airflow in ducts.
The first part consists of DEBIMO measuring blades, that you can install easily inside any circular or rectangular ducts. Their streamlined design avoids any air loss and turbulences inside the duct. This system is based on differential probe – also called averaged Pitot tube- and can measure dynamic pressure on different locations.
This dynamic pressure is measured with the new generation of KIMO CP300 transmitters. These models have a great accuracy to measure differential pressure, to calculate air velocity from 2 to 100m/s, and to control airflow in your ducts – once you have configured it with the ducts sizes-.
This system also enables you to:
- compensate air velocity and airflow, according to air temperature.
- set different setpoints on 2 relays
- send the data through two 4-20 mA or 0-10V analogue outputs, or through a RS485 Modbus digital output. More articles from Nationwide Technical Products Limited: |
