Bearings and other parts removed with ease
March 1st 2005

Removing bearings and machine parts is now easier, according to INA FAG, following its introduction of the PowerPull Spider series of hydraulic extraction pullers and puller plates.

Units are versatile, easy to operate and can be used to extract roller bearings, gears, sleeves, washers and many other shrink fitted parts.

The Spider can be used in any position due to its two or three arm option. Filled with high viscosity hydraulic oil R68, the pump handle can be turned easily through 360° and has automatic centering on shaft by a spring loaded centering core. An integral safety pressure control valve protects against overload and ensures that the unit is safe to use.

Available in a variety of sizes and forces, there is a tool to suit most applications. The small, lightweight hydraulic standard extractors are available in three designs from 40 to 80kN extraction force; the Spider Plus series can be selected in seven tool powers from 100 to 400kN extraction force.
