Blue Diamond has put a lot of effort into minimising noise from its range of customised semi-precision bearings. Quieter operation is being achieved both by reducing internal friction and by attention to materials used in the tyres on which they run, in a diverse range of applications. Increasingly demanding customer requirements are being met by customisation. This involves taking a standard bearing, chosen from the huge range of types and sizes held by Blue Diamond, as standard off-the-shelf parts, and combining it with a tyre material that best suits the customers need. Brackets and securing fixtures come into the reckoning too as part of a total solution.
