The cure for engineering ills March 1st 2004 Ambersils new MRO range includes lubricants, metal cutting fluid, welding aids and industrial cleaners assisting engineers with a range of tasks.
Ambersil has been instrumental in the introduction and adaptation of the aerosol as a delivery system to British industry. Many of the companys products now feature the 360 spray system. This cost-saving device allows all product from the can to be used and reduces waste. The 360 system also allows use of the can at all angles, even upside down. The company is perhaps best known for its industrial cleaning in aerosol form, most particularly Amberclens Foaming Cleaning. It was found that users, when talking about Amberclens, actually referred to the product as a can of Ambersil, showing how strong the brand was (eg Vacuum cleaner - Hoover).
Ambersil has recently changed strategy and re-categorised its products hence the new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) range. the range is now categorised to reflect task in hand applications hence, the new definitions of Cleaners, Lubricants, Corrosion, Fault Finding and Metal Working. To address users needs Ambersil has made the move to sell through distribution. Ambersil is now working with national and local distribution channels offering high levels of product training and support in an effort to add value to their customers and keep the high level of support, problem solving and technical advice previously given directly to Ambersil end-users.
New additions to the MRO range include the Amberclens Wipes, a multi purpose-cleaning wipe offering all the advantages of the original Amberclens cleaner. This came about as a resulting expansion of the wipe market and the combining Ambersils cleaning technology. Also the new Corrosion Inhibitor that came about through Ambersils long standing involvement in the polymer process industry where the need to protect valuable mould tools from corrosion was paramount.
