Disaster averted July 1st 2008 Wellman Robey has helped avert
a possible daily production loss
approaching £1.5m for an
international oil company in Wales.
Wellman received a late
afternoon 'phone call from the
client requesting immediate hire of
a large trailerised steam boiler and
bunded fuel tank to stand in for a
boiler that had to shut down due to
an electrical fault in the
boilerhouse.
The 20 000 lb/h trailerised boiler,
with its own 11 000L bunded oil
tank, arrived on site 200 miles
away early the next morning and
was quickly commissioned to
provide steam to the client's steam
main. A Wellman engineer assisted
until the oil company was happy
running the boiler itself. The hire
equipment remained on site for
three weeks while the client
rectified its plant room electrical
fault. More articles from Wellman Robey: |
