September 1st 2010 The latest icotek KEL cable entry
systems available from M Buttkereit
are designed to secure and positively
seal flat cabling when passing through
bulkhead apertures associated with
machine building or control panel
assemblies.
The system comprises polyamide
rigid frames, each with two hole
fixing, which can be supplied in four
sizes to accommodate a range of flat
cables and including additional
round cables in the larger frames if
required. These frames are used in
conjunction with captive elastomer
inserts, which provide cable strain
relief as well as cable sealing to IP54.
The company says assembly time
and costs can be saved. The products
are suitable for cable assemblies with
large or moulded-on plugs and
connectors, which would otherwise
require remedial wiring before
