Split base plate cuts cabling time
January 1st 2007

The icotek KDR split base plate range has been introduced to the UK by M Buttkereit.

The patent-pending system constitutes a twopart base plate with prefabricated cut-outs ready to accept icotek's KEL and Jumbo cable entry systems.

The system speeds and simplifies cabling-up of equipment.

The design of the split base plate ensures that during assembly almost the entire base of the enclosure is used for cable installation and sealing so even large connector can be fitted with ease. This ensures that the user is able to concentrate on the assembly task in hand rather than time consuming sheet metal work.

As the base plate is built around pre-wired KEL Jumbo glands for top.

bottom, side or front entry of electrical enclosures, retrofitting or modification tasks can quickly be completed without any cable disconnection or loss or production time.

The plate is available to suit all types of widely used enclosures including Rittal TS8.
