Vortex Technology refrigerated air dryers with monobloc heat exchangers are now available in the UK from Filterworld. VT air dryers are available from 7 cfm up to 4238 cfm and each dryer carries a two year parts and labour warranty – 5 years on the monobloc heat exchanger.

One major feature is the low pressure drop, as low as 0.01 bar (less than 0.15 psi) on some models. According to the Carbon Trust, a two psi reduction in air generation at the compressor results in a 1% reduction in compressor energy consumption by up to 2% at the compressor.

Therefore a VT dryer can reduce power consumption by up to 2% at the compressor.
