Clean air conveyed from compressor March 1st 2009 The need for a constant
supply of high quality
compressed air for
pharmaceutical use has led
Siemens Healthcare
Diagnostic Products to
replace an existing system
with a rapid-fit Transair
network from Parker Legris.
The equipment is at Siemens'
Llanberis site, which is used
for the global manufacture of
blood diagnosis kits.
Clean air is provided to
the ring main from variable
speed drive compressors
producing 190cfm and 9bar,
with the air treated through
absorption dryers for a high
quality product fit for
pharmaceutical use.
With its lightweight,
corrosion-resistant and
rapid-fit features, the
Transair pipework system,
designed by area distributors
United Air Power, was to
provide "the ideal solution"
to convey clean air from
compressor to point of use.
The first Transair network
to be installed at Llanberis
has been a 180m system in
40mm diameter aluminium. More articles from Parker Legris Limited: |
