Detect gas leaks
November 1st 2007

Described by ifm electronic as the first affordable device to monitor consumption or leakage of compressed air, the company says its efector metris caused quite a storm when it was launched a year or so back.

Now, ifm has introduced a version for technical gases. The unit is calibrated for three commonly-used gases CO2, nitrogen and argon.

For ease of fitting, the instrument for technical gases comes pre-installed in a DN15 stainless steel tube.

As with the earlier unit, the efector metris for technical gases offers an analogue output or a pulsed output, with selectable switchpoints and a display in the units of your choice.

ifm supplies a wide range of sensors for position and process control, complemented by a selection of connection possibilities, from connecting cable to AS-interface systems.
