Small redesign November 1st 2009 Atlas Copco Compressors has
redesigned its smallest oil-injected
screw compressor range – the GA 5-
11/GA 5-15 kW variable speed drive.
Features include a new-generation
compression element, 8% increase in
air delivery, noise levels of 60dB(A),
new VSD voltage variants, extended
operating range, and new Elektronikon
controller. There is also a tankmounted
GA 15 VSD model.
Engineers have lowered SER
(Specific Energy Requirements) by
up to 8%, achieved by a new screw
compressor element within an
enhanced package, and FAD (Free
Air Delivery) has been increased by
up to 8%, resulting in savings in
users' annual electricity bills.
Where air demand fluctuates, the
advanced control algorithms of Atlas
Copco's VSD are said to create
average energy savings of up to 35%. More articles from Atlas Copco Ltd: |
