Smart dryer gives economical operation May 1st 2006 The Process Air and Gas Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin has introduced a new series of Balston Smart dryers. The membrane air dryers combine advanced coalescing technology with a proven membrane system to supply clean, dry compressed air with dewpoints as low as -40°C.
Suitable for even the most sensitive of applications, units in the 5000 Series are said to reduce operating costs, eliminate costly downtime and repairs that can result from dirty, wet compressed air supplies.
They are also said to provide superior performance to both noncycling and cycling refrigerant air dryers.
Easy to install, the Smart dryers operate by passing compressed air through a high efficiency coalescing filter that removes 99.99% of oil and water droplets and particulate contamination down to 0.01 micron.
