IR sensors
July 1st 2004

Enhancements have been made to the MID Series of miniature infrared temperature sensors from Raytek.

Units now provide measurement accuracy in ambient temperatures to 120C without the need for additional cooling.

The sensing head is connected to the units electronics, contained separately in a compact metal housing, by an industry-standard cable that is coated to protect it from oil and caustic substances.

Sensors are said to provide fast, safe and accurate surface measurements of various materials within a range of -40 to 120C. The built-in digital interface enables remote set-up and control and up to 32 MID sensors can be linked in a networked, multidrop configuration.
