LOW COST UV SYSTEM
May 1st 2005 Hanovia’s Quantum in-line medium pressure UV system is a low-cost device for small flow industrial process water applications (up to 120m3/h) in the food, beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical and electronics industries. It is also suitable for treating water in small pools or spas.
UV lamps are positioned at a 30° angle to the flow to maximise contact time. The design is said to minimise headloss and ensure optimum disinfection by ensuring that all fluid passing through the chamber receives the minimum required UV dose. In addition, power per unit length is lower so the lamp will last longer. Lamps can be quickly and easily replaced.
