When designing the Powerdrive variable speed drive, engineers at Leroy Somer wanted to keep components and wiring to a minimum, and make it easy to install and commission, reliable and simple to maintain.

Covering the range from 45 to 675kw, the device is modular with air or liquid cooling. It offers open- or closedloop vector or simple V/F control.

Individual inverter, rectifier, cooling and electronic modules make for easy accessibility and the front-panel-mounted HMI interface and optional remote keyboard simplify the reading and writing of main parameters.

On the Enhanced Capital Allowance list, Powerdrive can be ordered already set up for most major applications, allowing commissioning to be achieved with just eight parameters.

There is automatic auto tuning at the first start up and all parameters can be saved to the Xpresskey with one click a button.
