Cooling task November 1st 2003 Rittal has developed a cooling concept for cooling inverter drives that require a high level of ip.
A complete solution for most sizes of inverter drive can be supplied, including the enclosure, air-water heat exchangers and, where required, a closed loop supply of conditioned water.
If cooling a 315kW inverter, then an enclosure to house two 5kW air-water heat exchangers and a 10kW chiller centre would be required. Alternatively, for two enclosures, both housing one inverter, four 5kW air-water heat exchangers for cooling the enclosures and one 20kW chiller centre to provide the conditioned water supply for the air-water heat exchangers would be needed.
This solution uses a remote chiller centre, so the distance between chiller and enclosures is no problem. More articles from Rittal Limited: |
