Cost cutting link January 1st 2008 The Aries family of digital brushless
servo drives from Parker Hannifin
has been enhanced with the
addition of Ethernet PowerLink
communications.The Aries drive
platform uses Ethernet PowerLink
technology to increase system
performance while decreasing
overall costs and installation time.
System design and machine
installation time are said to be
reduced through the use of
inexpensive and readily available
Ethernet cabling for the interface
between the servo drive and the
motion controller.
The Aries drives operate in
interpolated position mode,
receiving co-ordinated position setpoint
commands over
the Ethernet
PowerLink
network from a
master motion
controller.
When used
with Parker's
ACR9030/9040
motion
controllers, the
drives offer the benefits of autotuning,
drive setup and real-time
diagnostics, all via the Ethernet
PowerLink network using the ACRView
front end software. More articles from Parker Hannifin Ltd: |
