Designed to cut running costs
March 1st 2008

Lafert will be exhibiting its new high performance motor plus a selection of single and 3-phase machines, including brake motors, atex-approved DIP dust-proof motors and examples of customengineered machines.

The new high performance motor is intended for the OEM market and is said to offer significant savings on running costs and space requirements.

Lafert says that savings on operating costs can amount to more than 80%, while the motor's high output enables significant frame size and weight reductions.

This has been achieved by combining the technologies of both brushless permanent magnet servo motors and conventional ac motors. The result, says Lafert, is substantial performance advantages over conventional AC motors, including EFF1 machines, with constant efficiency across the entire speed range and under load conditions. The ability to do this has been helped by the fact that the Lafert Group has both servo and AC motor knowhow in-house.

The company specialises in engineered solutions to meet both industry specific requirements and application demands. It also provides green solutions such as generators for micro wind generators for domestic/ commercial properties.
