Yorkshire Water Waste Water
Treatment Works in Halifax,
WIMES compliant high efficiency
WEG electric motors are being
supplied to Spaans Babcock for
refitting surface aerators for active
sludge tank aeration lanes. "We
use WEG motors because they are
high efficiency EFF1 and WIMES
compliant, with good delivery
schedules," explains Mark Brown,
marketing and sales director of
Spaans Babcock. "The motors are
being assembled with gear boxes
to meet the individual requirements
of each aerator application."
A total of 12 lanes are being
upgraded, with five aerators on
each, three single speed motors at
11kW and two two speed motors
