Magnetic drive options on show

New magnetic-drive options for its GlobalGear range and a new plastic vane pump were among a range of positive displacement pumps shown by Tuthill Pump Group at this year's ACHEMA Exhibition.

The GGMD pumps are suitable for applications involving hazardous fluids such as toxic liquids that tend to crystalise. They are available in sizes from GG015 to GG130 covering flow rates to 492l/min and pressures to 10barg. Tuthill uses a special cooling system and thrust control on its magnetic drive system.

The new magnetic drive vane pump with all non-metallic wet surfaces is pulsation-free and is designed for applications using sensitive equipment, such as flow meters, where there are budget limitations.

FDA and USDA compliant, it is suitable for food, medical and aerospace applications, and offers good chemical resistance and a wide band temperature tolerance (- 40 to 66°C).
