Major order
January 1st 2007 Siemens Flender has won another order from Metso Minerals, the mineral processing equipment specialist that is constructing a number of rail car dumper and train marshalling systems for coal export facilities in China. The latest order is for the Port of Jingtang, where 24 planetary drive units have been supplied for two positioners (12 per positioners) which marshal full coal wagons into the dumper area. Each positioner drive unit comprises a Siemens 90kW, 1500rpm motor, Neupex/Autoguard torque limiting coupling, Sime Stromag electromagnetic brake, and a Planurex P2NA10 planetary gear unit, with an extended output shaft fitted with a 15-tooth gear pinion.
