Small motor range July 1st 2004 Parvalux has introduced the PM 7, 8 and 9, a compact, versatile and powerful range of permanent magnet dc motors. The new additions extend the rating of the range to cover lower rated applications from 7.5 to 80w (intermittent duty).
The choice of gearbox options for PM 7, 8 and 9 motors include single reduction worm gear, double reduction worm, in-line double reduction and multi-spur. There is also a choice of gear materials with composite gears for quiet running or bronze for higher output torques. Die-cast gearboxes have ball bearings and, being lubricated for life, are maintenance-free.
The new motors are enclosed to ip54, have long operational life and are quiet in use. Suitable for use with voltages from 12 to 200v dc, they can be fitted with a range of optional extras, including double-ended motor/gearbox spindles and non-standard shafts in stainless steel with keyways and flats. There is the option of electro-mechanical brake and tacho-generator, while for speed and torque control, the Parvalux dc controller is said to be the perfect match, providing a speed range of 25:1.
