Starters on tour September 1st 2006 Schneider Electric has embarked on a tour of Britain in which it will demonstrate Merlin Gerin's first medium voltage motor starter.
The road show will introduce Motorpact, which is fitted with vacuum contactors for a broad range of motor sizes right up to a huge 4megawatts at 7.2kv and is available as a pre-configured unit rather than a custom-built panel.
These features are said to reduce costs and make both specification and installation quicker and easier. The use of a line disconnector and multifunctional cast parts reduces the number of components and, at the same time, minimises heat loss.
Motorpact also incorporates the latest Merlin Gerin Sepam electronic protection relays and low power current transducers, and Schneider Electric's Transparent Ready web browser technology for communications, monitoring and control. More articles from Schneider Electric Ltd: |
