Flowmeter range extended
November 1st 2006 KROHNE's OPTIFLUX 5000 'all-in-one' electromagnetic flowmeter range has been extended with the launch of a new model with flanged connections and a high-tech ceramic liner. The instrument is also available in small meter sizes from DN 15 to DN 100. The new OPTIFLUX 5300 is well suited for applications where the flow of aggressive and abrasive substances needs to be measured. The high-tech ceramic liner is resistant to these substances, which means the instrument will operate reliably and accurately with these materials. The flanged connection increases the versatility of the OPTIFLUX, making it easier to install and compatible with a wider range of plant conditions. It also shields the ceramic liner, protecting it against damage during installation. The OPTIFLUX range incorporates three levels of diagnostics. Traditionally, diagnostic analyses within electromagnetic flowmeters have been limited to checking the device's microcontroller or memory. KROHNE's OPTIFLUX incorporates 3x100% diagnostics. which provide engineers with comprehensive data that makes it possible to anticipate and rectify potential problems before they affect production.
