Expanding its predictive digital technology for process automation, Emerson Process Management has introduced new on-line diagnostics for its Daniel Mark III Electronics used in its SeniorSonic flow meters.

The new diagnostics continuously report on the status of the meter, enabling metering specialists to recalibrate only when necessary. Customers eliminate the need for, and expenses associated with, removing ultrasonic flow meters for scheduled maintenance and calibration.

Instead, condition based monitoring, unusual for fiscal flow applications, enables the more proactive approach and offers customers benefits in terms of improved up-time, increased efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.

Emerson Process Management has been granted approval from the DTi to eliminate the need for periodic recalibration of its Daniel SeniorSonic gas ultrasonic flow meter
