Training case
July 1st 2008 Invensys Process Systems is
building an Operating Training
Simulator for BP Chemicals. The
system will transfer process
knowledge to operators of its
chemical manufacturing facilities.
The training simulator is
designed to be a portable 'suitcase
simulator', so that instructions can
be conducted at any site
worldwide. The simulator can also
be configured with the same 'look
and feel' interface for any of the
major DCS vendors. DYNSIM
technology in the new OTS will
allow BP to train operators on all
aspects of plant operations and
controls, start-up, shutdown and
emergency situation management
of plants, using its process
