CSA-approval
September 1st 2007

Sensors UK now has CSA Approval for the SB2I sensor box from Seika. The SB2I-CSA is intrinsically safe for hazardous locations ro Class 1, division 1, Groups A, B, C, D: Ex ia IIC T4.

Tough and durable, the sensor box comes with two precision inclinometers for the measurement of horizontal or vertical angles.

These sensors use a capacitive liquid-based technique, and offer standard ranges from ±10 to ±70°.

They require a supply voltage of between 8 and 30VDC.

Internal conditioning and amplification electronics give a rationalised output 4 - 20mA which is linear and proportional to the measuring angle. Non-linearity is claimed to be within 0.2% of fullscale output and resolution is to within 0.002° for a ±10° range.
