Gets a measure of motors July 1st 2008 Digital microhmmeters from
Cropico have been
specified by Quartzelec in
Rugby, a company that
makes rotating electrical
machines and specialises in
the repair, maintenance and
service of large electric
motors and generators.
To improve its after-sales
service and support, the
company has equipped its
team of electrical and
mechanical service
engineers with DO7 digital
microhmmeters to enable
them to undertake on-site
resistance measurement
and status checking of
motors and generators.
The instruments are
rugged, portable, highly
accurate and the flexibility
of the in-built manual
default enables engineers
to quickly undertake multisite
machinery testing.
Units come with specially
developed handspike test
leads to increase accuracy,
simplifying repeatable low
resistance measurements in
the workshop or field.
Ian Martin, Quartzelec's
engineering manager, says
"It's a very easy-to-use
instrument, even in the
harshest of environments,
producing very good
testing data." More articles from Cropico Ltd: |
