The latest addition to Sensors UKs MEL range of distance measuring sensors is designed for the precision measurement of target distance or position to 100m, and uses a visible class 2 red laser beam. The amplitude phase modulation technique is used in conjunction with the latest pcb technology to produce a compact, stand-alone sensor that offers measurements at up to 100m with a resolution of 0.1mm. It works without the use of a reflector on a multitude of different surfaces. The M10L 100 is housed in an ip65 rated die-cast enclosure. Power requirement is 10 to 30vdc. Applications for the new sensor are wide and varied throughout industry.
