Plug & play September 1st 2006 A self-calibrating transducer and indicator system has been introduced by RDP Electronics.
Based on the IEEE 1451.4 standard, RDP's TEDS enabled transducers connected to an RDP E725-DCt signal conditioning unit now offer the possibility of on-site set up without the need for physical calibration. It is now as easy as connecting a mouse to a computer.
The company says plant control and automation systems or test facilities can save huge amounts of down time using this technology.
Should a transducer fail, a replacement TEDS version can be plugged in and the system up and running again in minutes. More articles from R D P Electronics Ltd: |
