Shower-proof transmitters
September 1st 2008 Robust pressure transmitters from
ABB are taking the strain in the
R&D lab at shower manufacturer
Mira. Although some competing
transmitters are reported to have
failed in the demanding
application, ABB 261 pressure
transmitters were able to handle
the high pressures, and delivered
reliability and accuracy. The
261GS is the compact transmitter
class for gauge pressure within
ABB's 2600T series. It provides a
large turndown ratio of up to 20:1.
The compact, robust transmitter
housing is made of 316 stainless
steel as standard, providing high
corrosion resistance for troublefree
operation in a wide variety of
process and ambient conditions.
The user-friendly display allows
simple and intuitive local
transmitter operation, while the
transmitter provides local zero and
span adjustments, even without
